The Little CoffeeMaker that Could Great little coffeemaker. Nothing fancy, but it does the job and the price is right. I love that you don’t need to pore over a manual to learn how to use it. Couldn’t be easier.
Proctor-Silex Coffeemaker … We purchased this unit to replace a larger one in order to have a bit more counter space, and we’re pleased with that aspect of it. Interestingly, we find that it makes coffee stronger than the previous unit (a Bunn), which I guess is a good thing because we use less coffee grounds. We use one of those reusable filters which could be a factor in the brewing strength. The only negative comment thus far is that it does not keep the coffee hot, which is a bit of an annoyance. When pouring a cup, I immediately microwave it for 30secs to bring it up to the desired temperature.Update: The heating plate on which the pot sits has begun to rust. Therefore, I’m lowering the rating to two stars.
