Adjust the brew strength with the slide on the front of the machine, for stronger tasting tea slide lever to the right. Serve iced tea directly from the pitcher that can also be stored in the refrigerator after brewing. A recipe book with 18 delicious recipes is included, with more recipes on the Capresso blog. The Capresso Iced Tea Maker is also perfect for iced coffee beverages, however it is recommended to use a separate filter for coffee so there is no flavor transfer. Stopped working after 4 months. Bought this in August, it only worked 4 months. We were making ice tea in December and it kept shutting off and wouldn’t put the water in the pitcher. This is waaaaay too much to pay for something that only works 4 months. I looked at the return policy and it was only guaranteed for 1 month. Dont waste your money. I was worried about the great glass pitcher breaking, never thought the unit would stop working.
The second arrived intact and worked for 5 or 6 pitchers of tea and we loved it. Today the pump stopped working after 1 … First one arrived with broken hook in the reservoir. The second arrived intact and worked for 5 or 6 pitchers of tea and we loved it. Today the pump stopped working after 1 month–steam comes out the top but the pump doesn’t work any longer to pump the water over the tea bags. What a disappointment! We have a Capresso coffee maker that is about 8 years old and is fantastic. Expected more from this brand.
Ice Tea Perfectly Easy Great ice tea maker. It brews with hotter water than the cheaper ice tea makers without making the tea bitter from too much heat. The pitchers are thick enough to be sturdy but not too heavy. We have made about 100 batches of tea without a issue. The water chamber comes off for easy filling with RO water.
