Absolutely The Best Initially I purchased this as a gift, however the intended recipient had already received a coffee maker. I decided to keep this for myself as I have become disappointed in my “K” coffee maker. Weak coffee and expensive kcups. I followed the initial rinse and brew without coffee or filters. Simple coffeemaker, fresh coffee This is our second KitchenAid. We enjoy the coffee, and prefer the glass carafe as opposed to the thermal ones. Neither one of us likes lots of bells & whistles on a coffeemaker, especially when you are half asleep and just want to get going in the morning. Our only complaint is that of others: When you lift up the lid to empty the grounds from the basket, the condensation pools up on top and often runs down the sides onto your countertop.
