Its cool, is fun to watch work, and take a LONG time The coffee maker is very elegant, looks cool,and is fun to watch work. It is SLOW.. If you start with hot water it is better.. I started with tap water, used methanol in the burner.. and it took ~ 30 minutes to work.I’m thinking of trying to use Sterno as opposed to the included alcohol burner. I ran the Coffee through twice and that produces a nice cup of coffee (I was using extra strong coffee ground for a drip machine).Overall fun to use but not very practical with the included…
Excellent unit for the price. Best available This is a beautiful unit. All the important parts are high quality. As others have said, the base wood is not the nicest, but it doesnât need to be. If you use it a lot be sure to get a commercial coffe cleaner powder to clean the spoon tube and coffee vessel as they will build up BAD tasting oils.
