Great coffee maker! I know others have complained about a plastic taste when first using this. I have not had that problem. This has worked wonderfully. I really can’t find a downside. The only problem we have had is with K Cups that have a plastic top, rather than tin. It does not puncture a big enough hole, so we just puncture the hole before we put it in. Easy enough work around.
Pretty decent cup of coffee I just purchased this a few days ago, and it seems to be pretty good so far. The plastic smell and taste everyone is complaining about did go away after a few vinegar and water rinsed and a few pots or single servings. I had trouble getting it to brew on the carafe side and almost sent it back, but started working and haven’t had any trouble since. The k cups I bought don’t work very well with it. not perfect but gets the job done Coffee doesn’t get as hot as with a keurig brewer. The top lets steam escape, so be careful of placement and little hands reaching over the pot to grab a dish. You have to fill the tank with each use with amount of water you need. We mostly use the full pot side but like being able to use a kcup now and then. You can also use a reusable filter instead of a kcup. This option is much cheaper. We bought a reusable filter for the pot side also, would recommend as they’re easy to clean and no more…
