Finally got it working… Ok, so originally gave it one star because it only half ground the beans, regardless of the setting. Two days after I initiated the return I found a collar piece that sits between the hopper and the Burr. It just sits there mind you. It must have fallen off when I unpacked it from the box. Now, when it wouldn’t grind correctly I must have read the instructions a dozen times to see if I missed something. The company must consider this small collar, that just sits on there, part of the grinder…
Matte finish fails after about 2 years, body turns into Sticky Mess. Works well but the spray on matte finish they use on plastic the body to give it texture fails after about two years. Mine has only ever been wiped down with a damp rag and sits on a counter near nothing else, so their is no real reason I can see for this other than poor finish/material choice.Now the body is a sticky mess.Today out of desperation, I have found if I use 200 proof denatured alcohol, I can start to remove the outer finish and get to shiny smooth plastic…
Good price, poor design I had a good manual grinder, that I unfortunately broke. I bought this electric grinder to save myself a little time and effort and the reviews suggested good value for money with good grind quality as well.This is a good coffee grinder in terms of grind quality (I use a medium coarse grind for the french press), speed, and noise.
