Makes a mess I was hoping this would be a cheaper Keurig replacement for us, but there are a few cons about it that make me want to go back to my finicky Keurig. The first would be that it is messy. When you remove the compartment that holds the K-cup and open it, you had better be over the sink, it drains water/tea/coffee everywhere. Plus just having to have the compartment is an extra step that I haven’t figured out a reason for. With the Keurig you can just pop the pods in out and that is a lot less…
Not as good as its competitor I own a Keurig home brewer with 6, 8 and 10 oz. options and a 48-ounce water reservoir. After being spoiled by the Keurig, it didn’t take long to find usability with Mr. Coffee.
OK at best and for infrequent use ***** EDIT **** 10/3/16- I lowered the rating from 2 stars to 1 star. After about 2 weeks of use, the coffee pot has failed entirely. It now dispenses unpredictable amounts of water inconsistently and causes frequent overflows, resulting in repeated cleanups. We threw the coffee pot out.
