A Great Leap Forward I have to give credit where it’s due. I bought the initial Vertuoline when it was first released. As much as I wanted to love it — coming from a Nespresso espresso machine prior — it was a big disappointment. Primarily due to the heating of the water. While it got to temperature super quickly that temperature was no more than lukewarm. And, Nespresso had a variety of really poor suggestions to overcome the flaw. In the end I returned it. Great dual purpose machine I read the negative reviews and bought it anyway…glad I did. This machine makes great coffee, just as my Pixie did for espresso. It is warm enough! The machine looks nice, feels sturdy, and the foamy coffee and espresso is delicious. I like finally having only one machine on my counter. Makes great coffee and very neat, easy process. We love this coffeemaker! My husband likes regular brew and I like espresso and we both love this machine. We can have just the one machine on the counter and make excellent coffee of both types. One thing that’s great is the total neatness of the whole process. You put in the capsule and then the machine ejects it into the used capsule bin itself!
