They listened to the problems! I owned an earlier version of this coffee maker. I had a problem with the the pot leaking while pouring coffee. They replaced the pot with no charge. Then, after sometime the warming plate began to erode. I looked for a new maker but I really liked the way this one worked. I bought the newer version in the red & lo & behold Kitchenaid changed the pot so now there is no place for the coffee to leak when pouring. Great on the basics . . . . One flaw First, a note about KitchenAid. I brew alot of coffee. Over the years, I’ve had several coffee makers, and so far, I’ve found KitchenAid to make the best, most economical machines out there. It’s user-friendly, the carafe pours without leaving a mess, the pause & sneak a cup while brewing without leaving a dripping puddle on the burner, and the design (more later) make this a solid coffee maker.
