Very Good Alternative The quality of build appears to be as good as the original GE brand. One main reason for trying this brand is that it is a certified NSF product which gave me enough confidence to try. I have had the filter installed for about 2 months and all seems well….flavor is the same as GE and the smell is virtually the same. I can’t tell any difference in this Waterdrop or the GE. I did notice a slight increase in flow but that is probably because my other filter was getting clogged from our hard…
This is a fantastic bargain! This product appears to be identical to the OEM filter but at a significantly lower price. The OEM filter at a national home improvement chain goes for $49.95 EACH. The Waterdrop filter costs $8.00 Each! (A package of 3 for $24.00) Installation was simple and the water flow rate seems to have improved as compared to the filter I replaced – but the old filter was about a year (or two?) overdue for replacement. It’s only been installed for two days but so far I am very impressed.
great price for each 5 minutes and it was replaced and working, after suffering about a year of trickling water from the dispenser and the ice maker making a mess. Hardest thing was dislodging the old filter (only takes ~ 1/4 turn, but I have big hands reaching into a somewhat confined space, and it seemed stuck from age). Made a ruckus as air was purged with the new water coming in under pressure. Had a few first few seconds when it leaked a little around the seal where it screws in, but dried up once the…
