good value, works just fine I just cant justify the cost of the OEM filter as our water is suitable for drinking from the tap, a filter is not exactly a must have but I prefer it. The other alternative brands I was buying have jumped in price so I searched for something else and found this. Working great Much cheaper than the name brand filter. Came in a pack of 2 and they look almost exactly like the original.You will probably have some air pressure that causes cloudy water initially, but that goes away quickly by following this procedure: insert filter, pour water for 8 seconds – pause for 8 seconds, pour again for 8 seconds then wait 8 seconds. Repeat for 2-3 minutes or until water becomes clear again.
Satisfied and Thumbs Up Looked through all the filters on Amazon and decided this might work better and was just a couple dollars more than other cheapy ones (which I have used also). As with the others, the water does taste better than out of our sink (Indianapolis / Marion Cty). Did not see any ‘charcoal’ bits in it but YMMV and I don’t think it’s a big deal anyway, as I’ve never had one ‘shed’ more than just initially and they’re hardly noticeable.
