It is annoying that the “replace filter” warning will not go away … This works exactly as advertised. Followed the instructions on how to move the old RFID chip to the new filter and had success on the first try. It is annoying that the “replace filter” warning will not go away but that is because the refrigerator is reading the old RFID chip and doesn’t realize you have replaced the filter. For me, this is tolerable given the huge savings of not having to buy a new GE filter.
Does Not Work as a Replacement for all RPWFE filters! These do NOT work with all GE refrigerators that require an RPWFE filter. The filters I received did not have the correct plastic end and would not allow the filter door to close. See pictures. The instructions were clear enough and moving the chip was easy. However after installation, the filter door simply would not close. Ended up buying an OEM filter and it took 10 seconds to install.Was very disappointed with the return process! Took several emails and pictures before they would authorize the return. And after a couple of requests on the status of my credit, they did NOT credit the return postage of $13.60 – even though the filters were NOT as described. This is the worst buying experience I have ever had on Amazon! If you need RPWFE filters, stay away from these and buy an expensive OEM filter.
