These work fine (and don’t be wasteful) With my water, these last about 5 months before they get too slow and noisy. I don’t see any issue with the made-in-China aspect. If anything they produce water faster than the older models, but I didn’t really time it. My well water has enough iron that I’d notice if these didn’t work well, and that’s not a problem. Nice that I can get them at Amazon – Prime is easier than driving to Big Orange at times.One tip – when changing the set, move the old Post filter to the Pre filter…
Excellent packaging and value So far so good. Follow the instructions carefully to sanitize and then purge the system. Be careful to watch where the o-rings are as they may stick to different sides of the parts being removed. Also recommend taking photos of the hose configuration with your phone before starting. Also, wouldn’t hurt to take a few markers of different colors and mark the connections and the various hoses where they meet. Filters are perfect. 9PPM after 1 day.
Koolermax FX12P Filters are Counterfeit Seller “koolermax” advertizes GE OEM FX12P replacement filters but provided counterfeit filters to me. The packaging tries to look like GE packaging but is fake. Instruction sheet is not complete. Silicone lubricant is missing. And the packaging is clear plastic with “GE” insert rather than the authentic GE cardboard box. The filters are longer than GE OEM by ~1/8″. The filter end caps have shorter flanges than GE OEM.
