Unit Works Great — But Why Same Price as the “Real” GE Replacement Unit? We have a GE refrigerator and initially replaced the water filter with an official GE replacement part. This worked perfectly as a substitute when we had to replace the filter again. The only slight annoyance is that the GE filter has an arrow pointing up on the filter showing you where to align it and this AmazonBasics one doesn’t, so you have to move the unit around a little bit to figure out the right placement.
