Krups 229-4G AromaControl Therm Time Coffee Maker – Wake up and smell the coffee! You can do it. This coffeemaker has a built-in timer that lets you do just that. And if you choose to sleep later, the insulated carafe keeps the brew hot and fresh.

Krups’ latest development in the field of making coffee is Flavor Release Technology. It allows hot water to saturate coffee grounds longer than traditional coffeemakers, resulting in a richer tasting, not bitter coffee, but full of robust flavor. Better still, this delectable brew will be ready and waiting for you thanks to the programmable timer. Should your schedule allow you to dally over the morning paper, the hermetically sealed, double-wall insulated carafe maintains your coffee at the correct temperature for hours.

Stop ‘n Serve feature lets you pour a cup before brewing is complete 24-hour clock/timer for programmable brewing – Imagine awakening to the aroma of freshly brewing coffeeBy steeping ground coffee for nearly 2 minutes to begin the brewing process, this coffee maker delivers up to 10 cups of full-flavored coffee and then keeps it warm in an insulated thermos-carafe for hours. The thermos-carafe seals in heat during the brewing process and afterward to lock in flavor. This eliminates the need for a warming plate, which can turn coffee bitter. For making wake-up coffee, the machine’s programmable clock-timer can be set up to 24 hours in advance. There’s also an automatic interrupter that halts coffee flow for 20 seconds during the brewing cycle if the thermos-carafe is removed for a quick pour. For best results, remove the carafe from the base when the brewing process is complete, sealing off the carafe and insuring hot coffee. This sleek coffee maker measures 8-1/2 by 15-1/2 inches high by 8-1/2 inches wide by 10-1/4 inches deep. –Fred Brack

IMPORTANT: Get stainless version – Otherwise: Best pot I’ve ever owned! I just got mine in the mail the other day. A little research and word-of-mouth told me it made great coffee, and guess what? It does! The first pot we brewed (after running some plain water through it once) was the best pot of drip coffee I’ve ever made at home. We took the pot out as soon as it stopped brewing as suggested by the other reviwes. The coffee was just a little too hot to drink black immediately and stayed warm and fresh for 3 or 4 hours. We were also able to pour from a full…

I’m so happy! I am so happy I found this! I had one of these for about 7 years. Well, I say I had one. The carafe was a little different (black), but the rest of the unit looks identical to what I had. It finally gave out late 2010. I have been running on my backup hunk-o-junk B&D for several months (unfortunately). I tried a Mr. Coffee that flooded my counter-top right out of the box; TWO of them (I was so mad)! I considered a much more expensive maker, but then I ran across this! It’s the same…

Steer Clear of this Piece of Crap This is a gorgeous-looking but ultimately expensive piece of crap. Unfortunately, I threw the box and packing materials out too soon and I’m out $120+. The hype about the aroma control is just that — hype. It starts brewing immediately and when it does, the water starts dripping out of the bottom onto your kitchen counter as well as into the carafe. If you use the automatic timer, you will discover that half the water has leaked out of the machine before the timer kicks in to brew the coffee…
