Pitcher doesn’t last, replacement costs a lot. This product was a big disappointment. I bought it to replace a Mr. Coffee Iced Tea Maker which worked well enough, but went through pitchers. The Mr. Coffee pitchers were cheaply made, and would invariably spring a leak after a few hundred (sometimes a few dozen) uses. I probably spent about $200 on replacement pitchers, before I finally bought this Iced Tea maker and threw away the Mr. Coffee one. A must have for those seeking alternatives to plastic tea makers. Overall we are very pleased with this product. We were seeking an alternative to the plastic iced tea maker as we often add essential oils to our teas. This stainless steel/glass combo is nice. It does still have some plastic parts. I wish the water reservoir was steel or glass. My kids love watching it bubble as the tea begins brewing. It makes great tea with adjustable strength. You will make a mess if you dont remove the lid before pouring. We will be purchasing an additional pitcher soon…
Works well and makes great iced tea I ordered this after my Mr. Coffee Ice tea maker’s carafe broke due to my clumsiness. I like this design better than Mr. Coffee for the following reasons: a. The lid on the carafe stays on better; b. The water tank is removable thus easier to fill. c. Looks better due to the chrome front face. The only negative is for some reason I have to use 10 tea bags instead of 7 to get the same tasting tea. I can’t figure out why since the carafe is the same size. But all in all it works well and…
