Poor quality control on reconditioned units The first refurbished espresso maker I bought arrived with a broken main control knob, which was not visible just looking at it (the back of the plastic knob was broken). There was no evidence of damage during shipping. I sent it back and ordered a second identical “factory reconditioned” unit. The second unit did not work either – the portafilter would not affix snugly to the machine and it spewed out water and coffee grounds. This is not operator error, as I had owned this exact…
