It makes great coffee, when it works Buyer beware of this model. This unit is not very durable. Have had to return 3 for failed heaters, would no longer brew the coffee. The last one, my fourth unit, I returned because it produced an pungent smell of electrical wires burning, then stopped. It makes great coffee, when it works, however Cuisinart need to go back to the drawing board and improve the reliability of this product. Cuisinart generally makes great products, however they get a failing grade on this model.
