Regardless of whether I brew on Regular, Hot or X-Hot combined with either Regular or Bold settings, they all register at 183 degrees. This is barely within the basic range 180 to 185 degrees F get a good brew but not hot enough for the ideal brewing temperature range of 195 F – 205F to properly extract percolation (flow around the coffee granules)…
Lid leaks, can’t be cleaned You will hate this coffe pot after owning it for a year or so. The lid to the carafe is poorly designed. It cant be cleaned. After about six months the valve on the inside gets so coated with coffee residue that it stops functioning. The carafe will then surprise you one morning by leaking half the pot during the brew cycle. Don’t put important papers or electronics next to your coffee maker. Makes A Great Cup of Coffee! First, I want to say that the Cuisinart DCC-3750 10 Cup Coffee Maker makes a great cup of coffee. It brews very quickly and the noise level of the brew cycle is comparable to or quieter than many other drip coffee makers I have used. The carafe works great at keeping the coffee hot (when brewed on the “very hot” selection) for at least 4 to 5 hours after brewing.
