Replaced our DCC-1200 – very happy Our coffee maker – a Cuisinart DCC-1200 – finally died after 5 years (the heating element gave out). So, we needed a new one but didn’t really want to spend the money for a DCC-1200 right now. Isn’t it funny how things tend to break at the same time, or all the big expenses seem to come together? We’ve had a few lately and an expensive coffee maker wasn’t in the budget.

Cuisinart Pot Liked and Dislike Features We liked Cuisinart older design, where the water regulator that starts and stops water flow was on the frame and the pot touched up against it to activate the water flow. The lid that activates the flow now doesn’t work as nice, it don’t fit on the pot as tight as it needs to be with this new water regulator and some runs out of pot. The old design did not do this. It would be nice if Cuisinart would take the plastic off the pots lip area and make a glass lip, so the coffee, tea drains all…

Nice machine The old and trusty Braun machine gave up after 15 years of daily service. Unfortunately P&G killed the Braun appliance brand in the U.S.A. and I had to look for a replacement. There are literally hundreds of choices and the only way to make a decision is based on the reviews here on Amazon. The Cuisinart DCC-1100 which is made by Conair ( a brand not so known for longevity products ) received good ratings but I wanted to try the brand with a lower price instead and purchased a remanufactured…
