Perfect Braun Replacement Perfect replacement for my Braun FlavorSelect KF187, purchased from Amazon in approx. 2002. This Carafe appears to be an actual Braun replacement or a very good knock-off, It came in Braun packaging and the Braun logo is embossed on the glass. The packaging is labeled “Made in Czech Republic” The glass is slightly thicker than the original, and the lid and handle are a darker gray than the original. Great Carafe for a Great Coffee Maker We really enjoy our Braun coffee maker, and it has lasted for years. This version of the carafe pours better than the one that originally came with the coffee maker, but the glass is very thin, so it really needs to be handled with care. waste of money A slight tap on the sink and another $25+ is gone –The first one was (as other reviewers have said, much sturdier and possibly (not sure of this) thicker glass. There are plenty of other products that use the same no. 4 cone filters and make the same coffee.–The one thing that does make these different is that they don’t use steel so they can be put in a microwave for reheating coffee.But I have to say that the new replacements are the thinnest, most fragile glass…
