Replacement Carafe Did the Trick We have had our Braun coffeemaker for over 15 years. While we can replace it with a higher end model, we have a “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” philosophy to spending money. Well, dang it all if I didn’t break the carafe last week while washing it. Not strong enough for long term durability I completly agree with the first reviewer – the coffee maker itself is great. Its simple, inexpensive, long lasting, and makes good coffee. But the carafe is too weak. It should be made of strong pyrex glass, but instead it seems to cracks too easily. My first carafe cracked after about a year and I ordered this replacement. fits my coffee maker & large capacity is good perfect replacement. the glass is on the more delicate & thin side so I have broken a few washing, have to be careful washing
