Inferior product quality I needed a new coffee filter for my 4+ years old Breville coffee maker because the bale (handle) of the original filter had broken. I ordered this as a replacement and expected a similar lifetime for it, but the bale has broken in less than 3 months of service. This is apparently an inferior quality product and I do not recommend it to anyone. The text of the description of the product includes a line item that reads “Five-year limited warranty”. In my case, I checked on returning the item to Amazon, but could not because it had been more than 30 days. Next I went to the seller’s page on Amazon and clicked on their “Returns and Refunds” tab which led me to a statement “Please refer to the Amazon.com Return Policy.” So, it appears that their “Five-year limited warranty” is so-much window dressing intended to encourage your purchase of their inferior purchase without any real recourse. I expect better from Amazon!Another…
… it to my old 10 cup filter its more like a 6-8 cup filter Said it was a 10-12 cup filter but when I compared it to my old 10 cup filter its more like a 6-8 cup filter.
Outstanding alternative to paper filters First off, this universal filter fits perfectly into my Black & Decker DCM2500B SmartBrew coffeemaker. Secondly, it really does make for a better coffee, allowing more of the oils to make it into the pot. That alone makes this already-inexpensive mesh filter indispensable to me. The fact that I’ll save money on filters in the long run is just icing on the cake. The mesh bottom is what drew me to this particular filter, as I didn’t want one that had a plastic bottom like so many other do.From a maintenance perspective, this filter is incredibly easy to clean. I have left grinds in it for over a week (by accident), and they come off quite easily with just a little hot water.
