Not dependable. Broke within 3 months of purchase. Purchased this item in February, 2016 and gave it as a gift to a friend in India (it is a 220V appliance). It stopped working after 3 months and now we are trying to figure out how to get it repaired or replaced. Given that the coffee maker is in another continent, there is no easy way to return it to Amazon.
