Not universal even though it looks the same This carafe came with two lids so you could switch it out depending on which model coffee maker you have. The carafe looks almost identical to the one that came with our coffee maker (but broke into 1000 pieces when dropped recently), and one of the two lids did match ours. However, the carafe is about 1/4″ taller than the old one and you really have to force it into place, lifting the spring piece where the coffee drips out with your finger. It’s a very tight fit and really awkward to…

bought as replacement for Gevalia pot I used this to replace the broken pot in my Gevalia brand coffeemaker. It isn’t an exact fit; it’s about 1/4-3/8″ taller than the original pot, but works if you are careful removing and replacing the carafe. The black and decker model is well made, holds quite a lot of coffee, and more importantly, isn’t cracked like the one it replaced!
