Excellent Coffee Brewer – just know that it is 2/3 the capacity of typical “US” brewers I purchased this Technivorm coffee maker about three months ago after poor experience with KitchenAid pro-series units (which are no longer offered). Researching coffee makers on-line led to several reviews where this product was praised for brewing coffee at the correct temperature, in accordance with certification standards of some sort, and lots of other gushing about how great it is. I just wanted a good quality, reliable machine to brew good coffee, and I don’t want to have to replace it…
finally, I got the best coffee brewer I have had many coffee brewers over the years, and have tried and returned others, including Capresso, Bunn, Braun,& Cuisinart. I like strong coffee. The issue is that the finer the grind and larger the amount of ground beans used the stronger the coffee BUT the higher the chance that the basket will overflow. Technivorm…simple yet elegant ! And not made in China ! I researched several coffee brewers before purchasing this Netherlands made KB-741. I wish it was American made,but I was happy to find a completely hand made product from our European friends. Frankly,I’m sick & tired of being forced to purchase almost EVERYTHING from China !
