Simply Excellent I’ve been a fan of French-press brewed coffee for years. But after going through umpteen glass carafes due to breakage, I started looking for alternatives. Very good, but not an ideal press for me I replaced an older glass French press with this unit due to its excellent reputation. It is indeed a solid, well-constructed unit. From a mechanical perspective there is nothing wrong with it at all. However, being used to a glass press there are a couple things I miss. One is that you can’t see how much ground coffee you’ve put into it. With a glass press you can see exactly how much you’ve got without having to measure it.
