Best Coffee Maker!!! I’ll start by telling you, we’re not coffee snobs….but we do like a good cup of coffee. We’re not into the latte, cupachino, flavored fancy steamed frothy designer coffee. Up until recently our coffee maker had always supplied a consistently good cup of coffee. I did my diligence and researched coffee makers. What I found was that the Technivorm has been awarded for its consistent performance for the last several years.
Great coffee, poor quality teflon coating on warmer plate EDITING ON 12/03/13: Again, thanks to a fantastic customer service rep my defective unit was replaced. The new one works well in its first week, and the warmer plate definitely has a better coating on it and no liquid on the warmer after brewing a pot. Makes GREAT coffee. High Price, But It Will Last I purchased my Technivorm here on Amazon 8 years ago and its still making great coffee every morning and has not failed or broken down once, Although the older model I have has a feature that lets you adjust the flow of coffee coming out (NOT VERY USEFUL) of the basket and into the pot its still basically the same unit with a heating element that pumps out water so hot it literately extracts every ounce of coffee out of the grounds and turns them slightly tan in color without any bitter…
