We expect better design after all these years, Mr Coffee! This coffee maker is a riot! I was looking for a basic maker with a timer, and I figured Mr Coffee was a time-honored brand. This one had a sneak-a-cup feature, and that was cool. I paid a decent price; it doesn’t cost much. But this thing is sort of a mess. First, this has one of those carafes that you can’t pour out of without the coffee curling around the lip and making a puddle. Please! How long have we been making coffee makers? Very disappointed in this product I have had Mr. Coffee coffee makers before and they have always been adequate for the price, although I only expect them to last a year or two. However, this pot was disappointing right from the first pot. When the pot was removed to pour a cup of coffee, a tremendous amount of steam and noise would be generated, which also resulted in quite a bit of water being dispensed onto the hot plate.
