Good Value and Quality This coffee maker fits in the space between your kitchen counter top and the upper cabinet. In our kitchen it’s too tight to fill the coffee maker with water without moving it toward you. However, it does tuck away nicely when we’re done. The quality is good – comparable to Krupps or Braun models that cost 50% more. The carafe is well-made and solid with a nice handle. Good Product, but it came with rust on it! The product was rusted!
Plastic residue after 12 water flushes…not good! Hamilton Beach makes decent coffee makers. They are always easy to use and maintain. This one, however, has a water reservoir that leaks plastic residue into the pot. Twelve flushes haven’t gotten rid of this issue completely. This residue affects the taste of the coffee. I photographed the coffee pot after the third water flush and there’s still plenty of residues visible. The water flushed through the machine without using a coffee filter.
