Have always been so pleased but not this time Have owned Mr. Coffee products for years. The glass pot appeared to have been thinner than my last model which was much like this one. Within one week of use it broke…..I have never broken a coffee pot. I handle glass frequently, antique and otherwise. I had to purchase a replacement pot for twelve bucks. I am disappointed.
Solid & Reliable Pretty solid machine, the only complaint I have is that the water distribution over the grounds isn’t that even so once in a while if I’m making a small batch of coffee, it’ll come out watery. Otherwise I’ve got no complaints. (Though don’t use the filter they give you with the machine, it gives a carbon aftertaste to your delicious coffee. Just stick with using filtered water from a filter-jug.)
Low water temperature = lousy coffee I got this same machine at a local retailer as an emergency purchase when my old coffee maker bit the dust, and hoped it would brew a good enough pot of coffee to stick around.
