Delighted with this purchase! My whole family loves this coffee maker. The controls are easy to read and use, operation is simple, the coffee is excellent and HOT, and the thermal carafe keeps it hot for hours. (Can’t imagine ever going back to a glass carafe! ) We also love the ability to quickly get hot water for tea or cocoa. The only slight drawback I’ve found is that I miss the larger capacity of our previous 12 cup machine (also Cuisinart), but the 10 cup capacity is adequate most of the time.
I do like that the pot shuts off after coffee is brewed … My husband and I find the top of carafe a bit difficult to take off and put on. I do like that the pot shuts off after coffee is brewed and coffee stays hot for a very long time and never has that old, burnt taste to it.
Overall great I love this coffee pot overall. Keeps coffee hot & brews hot. The main draw back is the difficulty putting water into the coffee side. If you are older & shaky there is no way you could keep from getting water in the coffee basket. It is easy to use,like programming.
