Wonderful Product – Works Great Right Out of the Box Excellent product that works great right out of the box! There have been some negative reviews on here so let me set the record straight. 1st) Make sure you understand how a cold brewing system works and familiarize yourself with the product and it’s various removable parts. 2nd) Use the included directions because the system works better if you follow the instructions perfectly. I also find that by using the recommended medium grind of a burr grinder, you will in fact get better results…
The drip valve doesn’t work well, otherwise decent Overall a nice product, but the key is getting the water to drip at the right frequency (about 1 drip per second), and I can’t control it well enough. It will be dripping perfectly, then I’ll come back later and it’s stopped completely. Then you’ll twist it one single millimeter and it starts dripping way to fast. Keep twisting it around and around and just in general very hard to get the 1 drip per second rate going consistenly.
Love for Coffee Geeks I was one of the first people to get a Bruer cold brew system through Kickstarter and have had nothing but two years of joy from it! Making a pot for tomorrow morning’s enjoyment right now…. About two years later. Still going strong, but I don’t make cold brew every day. Maybe once a week.
