The Brazil French Press coffee maker, designed in the early 80’s, was our first coffee maker and quickly became a symbol of what Bodum stands for. Attractive and functional design at an affordable price. The Brazil has a durable, heat-resistant borosilicate glass beaker and a plastic handle and base, which make the Brazil easy to use and easy to clean. The 3-part stainless steel plunger has a fine mesh filter, which allows for a premium extraction of your coffees aromatic oils and subtle flavors. A mesh filter allows this flavor to be delivered direct to your cup and not absorbed by a paper filter. Plus, no paper filter means no waste. The patented safety lid prevents the splashing of liquids while pressing. All parts are dishwasher safe. This 8-cup coffeemaker is (1.0 l, 34oz.) in size and is also available in 3-cup (0.35 l, 12 oz) size model.

Great little press pot! My husband is VERY pleased with this press pot. It gets good reviews on many websites, and they are well deserved. This pot is easy to use, easy to clean, makes better coffee than the percolator my husband formerly swore by, and makes the perfect amount of coffee for my husband each morning. It DID take some experimentation to find the right amount of coffee grounds for our tastes (I think the instructions said to use 6 scoops, but that produced muddy coffee. We use three.),…
Poor quality and awful design Right out of the box, the mesh screen was twisted and bent on the edges. Not a good first impression, but easily fixable by removing the plunger assembly and bending the screen back by hand. And that’s when I noticed the poor design of this product which has the top of the handle blocking the opening of the cylinder. This makes removing and reinserting the plunger assembly and screen more difficult than it should be. And then I noticed the little plastic guide for the plunger rod was broken…
HATE the design HATE the design. 1st) there is a huge round lip where the handle hangs over the top. You can’t fill it all the way full or you’ll spill when you put the mesh pushing part back in because you have to put it in at an angle… if you fill it too full, and you put it in at an angle, you risk getting a lot of grounds in your coffee. 2) the mesh / metal pressing part doesn’t go down deep enough. What this means is that I have to fill the press with more coffee than I’d like OR the grounds at the…
