Great appliance, good value, looks nice As traditional coffee makers go, this one is pretty great… It’s super easy to use, it’s got great features, AND it looks stylish. Both plastic and metal pieces are high quality, everything fits well, and buttons are sturdy. The carafe is easy to clean – as are the surfaces of the machine itself – and the reusable gold(-tone) filter rinses quickly. Big enough for company, fine for every day too My wife and I are not big coffee drinkers and we typically use K cups whenever we want a cup of coffee. We actually didn’t own a coffee maker until we received this Kenmore model as a gift recently. It is the perfect size for a couple like us. It is big enough (12 cups) to serve our family members when they are over for a gathering but not so big that it takes up a lot of counter space like our Keurig does. Respectable drip coffee maker. It makes decent drip coffee. The metal filter works okay, but I prefer to use paper. The metal filter lets a lot of dust through, which turns to mud.It has a handsome contemporary shape; not modern like a Bodum, nor classic like a Mr. Coffee. The stainless veneer is handsome. But the gray plastics don’t carry the same “premium” look or feel.Bottom line: it’s not too expensive, looks great from afar, looks good up close, and makes decent coffee.
