One of my favs — functional, beautiful, great brew Love the functional and unique design. Brews somewhere between filter/chemex and french press.If you pre-heat the decanter, coffee comes out hotter than either, which I favor.I have a gabillion different coffee brewers, this in my top 3.Word of care — if you are at all fumble fingered be careful putting the neoprene sleeve back on.I can see where the glass decanter could shoot out of your hands and @%$^Practice while sitting on the couch!
Refined Immersion I like this better than a press.My first attempt: 32 oz water, 5 tbsp Marley Coffee Smile Jamaica that I ground a little more coarse than for drip, 1 min for bloom then broke up crust gently, 3 min steep. We got some good coffee out of this thing.This yielded a much richer more full body brew than my Bunn STX that has outlived the first one by six months already.
