Electronic Charcoal Filter Indicator
An internal counter registers how often you turn the coffee maker on. It assumes that it makes a pot of coffee each time the machine is turned on. After 60 pots of coffee the green indicator light starts blinking. Replace the charcoal filter and push and hold the filter button until the green light stops blinking and stays illuminated.

Great coffee maker I bought this to replace a KitchenAid 10 cup that unfortunately had an untimely death after a broken carafe. This was the second KitchenAid that I had to throw away because they stopped making replacement parts. Used to be great machine, now overpriced junk I have had the older version of this machine for about 8 years now. It is our favorite coffee maker and we are a bit picky about our coffee. The old machine had a rubber gasket start leaking water, so we decided to replace the machine with a new one.
Very happy with this coffeemaker I purchased this coffeemaker a month and a half ago. I was initially hesitant after reading several reviews of previous and similar models, specifically about coffee not staying warm and high spill rate during brewing. So far I have had no issues with any of that.
