Worked fine, may need M3 0.5×8 screws to remount cover. Bought for a Samsung RS265T fridge with a faulty heater element in the existing ice maker. I confirmed the element faulty with a multimeter (infinite resistance) and also by heating it with a hair dryer, then forcing a harvest using the reset button. (Ice maker made ice, but would not harvest due to heating element not releasing the cubes.) This was a great replacement, and my hopper is now full of ice one day after install.
Works Great! Slight problem with installation The ice maker works great and was not too bad to replace. It arrived in a reasonable amount of time and in good condition. The one issue I had was that this replacement ice maker does not come with the plastic heat shield so you have to take the one off of your old ice maker and put it on this one. Paid $137. 50 to have an appliance repair person … Paid $137.50 to have an appliance repair person “diagnose” our problem – ice maker needs replacement as it’s not calling for water. They then wanted another $370 to order the part and install it. Ordered this, watched a YouTube video on how to install it and now we have ice again.
