Finishing Touches for a Perfect Cup

It’s easy to perk up a shot of espresso for the morning sunrise or enjoy a relaxing, after-dinner latte. Equipped with an easy-to-use rotary knob with steam functionality, the 15-Bar Italian Pump Espresso Maker can create a café latte effortlessly. Simply take a stainless steel cup filled 1/3 with skim milk and hold it underneath the frothing nozzle. Leaving about ¼ to ½ space between the nozzle and the cup, steam will flow and this produces steamed milk that’s warm to the touch. For a frothy consistency, take the warm milk a step further and using the steam setting and frothing nozzle, move the cup up and down until the froth is stiff and “scoop-able” with a spoon. For a great new taste sensation, top with whipped cream and drizzle with caramel or sprinkle with ground nutmeg.

Basic Espresso Drink Recipes Espresso

Mix 1/3 espresso, 1/3 steamed milk and 1/3 frothed milk Latte

Premium Care for Less Cleaning

With the 15-Bar Italian Pump Espresso Maker, the Melitta designers integrated easy steps along the way to minimize fuss and let you savor the moment of espresso enjoyment at the end. Before operating, ensure there is water in the reservoir, as too little water can damage the unit. After each time steaming and to prevent a clogged nozzle, hold a cup of water under nozzle and “steam” into the cup to clean. Never put two pods in either filter holder at one time. Sporadically check for espresso grounds on the rim of the filter holder and brush off; leaving grounds behind prevents a proper seal from forming. Before final cleaning, turn control knob to BREW to dispense any remaining water from reservoir. Then allow unit to cool, wipe down exterior with a damp cloth and wash all removable parts in warm, soapy water.
