Coffee tastes good, but that is where the “good” stops. I have had many Braun appliances over the years, and was always very happy with them, so I looked forward to this coffee maker. Well, the coffee tastes okay. But the process leaves a lot to be desired. This is one of the most poorly designed coffeepots I have ever used.
Auto feature, bold brew. Good coffee maker This is a very good coffee maker and it’s really nice to have the insulated carafe that keeps the coffee warm for hours. This is so much better than having a pot of coffee sitting on a warmer for hours cooking down to a bitter sludge. It comes with a gold filter that cleans up easily in the dishwasher and produces very good coffee. It also has an auto on feature so you can prep your coffee before you go to bed and wake up to the aroma of fresh coffee in the morning.
Really nice unit! I admit to being something of a dinosaur when it comes to brewing coffee. I usually make one cup at a time and simply use a small French press pot, which is fast and easy to clean. It also doesn’t generate any waste beyond the used grounds. But because my best friend, who has coffee every morning, has been visiting about once a week in preparation for a move, I figured it would be helpful to have a coffee maker to accommodate him, and I usually like Braun products, so I ordered this one…
