FAILED TESTING SEE PHOTOS! UPDATE: note sure why ALL my photos are not showing: this thing is WORSE than my old used filter that was over a year old!I tested this filter up against Poland Spring bottles of water my original more than a-year-old PUR filter and regular tapwater. The Poland Spring bottles of water registered at 29 ppm, the old PUR filter registered at 150 ppm, the new more pure filter that was purchased here registers at a dismal 173 ppm, and the regular tapwater registers at 210 ppm.how…
Great replacement! Great price and works perfectly to replace the UKF8001 filter in my Maytag fridge. Water flow does not seem to be any worse or better than before. Water tastes great!Keep in mind you need to discard the first gallon or so of water. There is a significant amount of activated carbon pushed out after initial installation. If water isn’t coming out, remove the filter and reinstall it. Make sure to use good pressure when installing it. You should hear the water rush into it when it locks…

Make sure you follow included instructions to flush out filter after installation, ours said to run 4 gallons first before attempting to drink. After doing that our water tastes perfect – meaning NO taste! It’s like drinking “air” …. thank you for a great product at a great price.
