Worked without issue once a work around was made to … Worked without issue once a work around was made to deal with the RFID chip required by proprietary GE filters. We gently pulled the RFID chip from the original By pass cartridge which came with the Refrigerator. The Chip was then placed on the wall of the refrigerator in the same location next to where the cartridge would have been installed. This chip allows the filter to work but leaves a message that the water is not filtered. So we took one of the date labels from the new cartridge…
Works great! I taped the chip from my bypass plug … Fast shipping, Works great! I taped the chip from my bypass plug on one and works awesome! No more $60 filters just to have my fridge tell me it’s time to change a filter. The RWFE’s were also plugging up in a month. You do need to run a gallon or so of water to rinse out the loose charcoal from the filter.
