Know the difference in product code (MWF, MWFP, MWFA) before you order. After a disappointing find of hard water, white dust, residue in our coffee maker and on our water dispenser tray, we have learned some of the differences in the MFW water filters claiming to be genuine GE products. First of all, I received one filter that was … First of all, I received one filter that was opened (no plastic shrink-wrap and tamper-proof sticker missing), but Amazon replaced them right away. Unfortunately, unlike the more expensive MWF (or its Euro cousin), the MWFA is nowhere as effective I think. I can see white things (minerals I’m assuming) floating around in the water. Next time I will go back to the MWF.

Work Well These work sufficiently well for filtering a good city water supply. I prefer the genuine OE GE part over aftermarket as I know exactly what I’m getting. Installation couldn’t be any easier. No issues with performance or leaks. Save a bunch of money refilling a stainless steel water bottle vs. purchasing bottled water.
