The ones from LG cost around $49.99, and even though you can get them on Amazon for less, the product reviews are plagued with allegations of the products being fake.I ordered this due to the price and the fact that its technically one step more efficient than the standard filter that comes with the fridge. Fits Kenmore Elite, replaces water filter #469690 (see my notes on LEAD reduction) Also fits Kenmore Elite Fridge, replaces water filter #469690. Most of you know LG makes the Kenmore Elite refrigerators. LG water filters and air filters are the same as Kenmore well as many other parts.I find it works the same as the factory original in fit, form and function. Better than the original !! Got these filters after ordering the OEM LG ones from a third party seller and receiving what I thought were counterfeit ones. These amazon ones are definitely not counterfeit, filter to NSF 42, 53, and 401 (I even checked on the NSF website). The OEM filters only meet NSF 42 and 53 not 410, so the premium amazon ones actually filter more. They installed easily, the water tastes great, the ice has no smell, and there much cheaper.
