Affordable replacement We had a terrible habit of letting our filters go too long. Kind of gross, I know. But this Amazon filter’s price makes me feel like I can keep up with the recommended schedule. I didn’t have any issue installing it into my older GE Profile fridge and, after following the fill and dump directions, didn’t have any issues with the clarity of the water after the installation. Great tasting water! This generic water filter was a perfect fit for my GE Fridge. It uses the MWF size filter and 100% compatible. I think the only difference was this one didn’t have a big arrow to help align the filter during installation, but just look at the tabs and there shouldn’t be any trouble. Cheap, easy and a no-brainer I was a bit nervous after reading reviews of leaks or issues with bubbles or pressure after using non-OE filters, but it was hard not to take the leap, considering the price is hard to beat.Went in wihout a hitch. I had never replaced a fridge filter before and my heart skipped a beat during the first 10 seconds of the initial purge! Didn’t expect such a loud sound and the water/air mix was coming out quickly! After running about 2 gallons hrough, everything was back to normal.
