Works great and has some added filtration I have been buying generic MWF refrigerator filters for years now to replace our original GE MWF filter in our fridge. I am so happy that Amazon is now making refrigerator filters. There are three different options: standard, advanced and premium. I received the premium filter which reduces phenytoin, ibuprofen, naproxen, estrone, bisphenol A and nonyl phenol in your water in addition to the benefits of the advanced filter (which reduces lead, cyst, benzene, carbofuran, and endrin)…

Advanced filters to NSF/ANSI 53 I am so so so sooooo happy Amazon has produced a line of refrigerator water filters! There were so many cheap filters available to replace the OEM fridge filters, but most of them were only rated to NSF/ANSI 42 if you read the fine print. And even some I bought off Amazon which claimed to be rated to NSF/ANSI 53 were actually only rated to 42 once I received the actual products.
