Great deal!!! I have an 8yo GE refrigerator, that came when I bought my home new. I was frustrated with having to spend $50 for a water filter. Iâm so glad I found AmazonBasics Replacement GE water filter. With a simple twist it was easy to install. It works wonderfully. Make sure to fill up a pitcher a few times and dump out the water just to get to get it to filter through. The water tastes great. No after taste, no chemical tastes. Just clean fresh water. Such a great deal!!!
Stops water to ice-maker – Returned This “replacement” for a GE MSWF refrigerator water filter was totally inadequate in my GE refrigerator. It totally stopped the flow of water to my ice maker. This may have been because it did not fit as promised despite trying to screw it in place for 30 minutes including using a wrench to try to lock it in place. No ice = product fail! Replaced this in 30 seconds with an OEM GE MSWF filter that locked into place BY HAND quickly and immediately allowed the flow of water to my ice maker. I…
