In addition, its strength selector allows for choosing from strong, medium, or mild coffee. The unit’s bean hopper holds up to a half pound of beans and comes with a sealed lid to prevent moisture. Other highlights include automatic shut-off after brewing, a grind-off option, and an integrated 2- to 4-cup feature, as well as a charcoal water filter to remove impurities. A brew-pause function is great for sneaking a cup midbrew. A 12-cup double-wall insulated thermal carafe comes included, which seals in heat and freshness so the last cup tastes as good as the first.

Good coffee, good capacity and simple to use… I purchased this unit as a replacement for a smaller and simpler Cuisinart Grind and Brew with Thermal carafe. I stuck with Cuisinart because of good performance with 3 other units and stuck with thermal carafe because we don’t like a hot plate continuing to cook the coffee over the time we enjoy our coffee.
