Good coffee, good capacity and simple to use… I purchased this unit as a replacement for a smaller and simpler Cuisinart Grind and Brew with Thermal carafe. I stuck with Cuisinart because of good performance with 3 other units and stuck with thermal carafe because we don’t like a hot plate continuing to cook the coffee over the time we enjoy our coffee. Our previous units were all 10 cup capacity that didn’t quite cover our appetite.
The first two were fine (but they’re only good for about two years) This is our third 900CFR. The first two were fine (but they’re only good for about two years). I thought it was worth a chance to save some money and I bought a refurbished unit from Amazon. The first one came and the grinder threw ground coffee all over inside the brewing basket’s enclosure and even onto the carafe. I returned it and got a replacement Amazon. The replacement is certainly better but it still throws coffee all over the enclosure which makes daily cleanup a real chore…
Works, but is still lacking I did quite a bit of research before purchasing this coffee Brewer-grinder combination. The product worked as expected, and I’m assuming it works as well as one can at this price point, but it was a little lacking. I’m accustomed to grinding fresh beans every morning and making a French press coffee. The coffee stays hot, it tastes incredible, and clean-up is relatively easy.
