Best featured coffee maker Best coffee maker for home use. It has worked every day for a month working flawlessly. There have been no problems with a pressure lock (vacuum seal makes no sense as the liquid is steaming hot coffee) in lid or overflowing as other reviewers experienced. They must have redesigned the lid. I bought this one as a gift and the black version for us. Both started experiencing the problem below after a month of use.
DEFECTIVE!! DEFECTIVE!! As noted by other reviewers, there is something basically wrong with this product in the fact that it frequently will “overflow” onto the the counter and floor because of a design problem with the lid. Of 12 cups to be brewed, 10 will end up in the carafe, and the remaining cups will back up (I finally learned to put a metal tray with sides under the coffeemaker to collect this spillover). Don’t buy this coffee maker! This is the worst coffee pot I’ve ever purchased. About 2 months after we purchased it the carafe would no longer slide in and out from under the basket. At that point we called Kitchenaid and after submitting proof of purchase they replaced it. Fast forward about 10 months – an error message would flash every time we tried to brew a pot of coffee. I ran a clean cycle as per the user manual suggested. The basket forcefully popped open during the cleaning cycle about 3 times before I conceded…
